Melvin is a handsome long-haired gray and white cat who is super friendly. Unfortunately, he tested positive at the shelter for both FIV and FeLV. Because of that, and because he is a senior cat, he was put on the euthanasia list. We were able to rescue him. While he was in quarantine before introducing him to the other cats, we found out he had a bad case of diarrhea.  We have been treating him for that, and he has improved so much that he was finally able to move into Mikey’s Place with the other FeLV cats where he has access to the outdoors within a cat-proof fence. Melvin is enjoying being able to explore the woods during the day.
